Kuilima Farms is between Kahuku's mountains and ocean, a bountiful ecosystem that connects land and sea, which holds a rich past and promising future. The farms 468 acres of agricultural land are owned by Turtle Bay Resort and managed by Pono Pacific. This land is permanently dedicated to agricultural use and Kuilima aims to provide fresh produce to local families and hotels by establishing a model of public/private partnership that can help achieve Hawai‘i’s food security initiatives by supporting local farmers and promoting agricultural education. They strive to move Hawaiʻi toward food sovereignty to reduce the carbon footprint, diversify local economy, and innovatively support farmers, along with their partner, Turtle Bay.
