Ahiki Acres

We are Ahiki Acres, a small farm located in the backroads of Waimānalo. Ahiki Acres took root in the Winter of 2018 under the guidance of GoFarm Hawaii’s AgPro program. Haley Miyaoka and Matthew McKinnon, two GoFarm graduates, joined forces with a dream to expand sustainable agriculture in Hawaii with interests in culinary and agritourism applications. Our mission is to increase Oahu’s food security by growing healthy, tasty products, while practicing responsible stewardship of the ‘aina.

We grow a diverse array of crops, including tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, herbs, cucumbers, beets, radishes, and edible flowers. We choose our varieties based on best quality and taste along with pest and disease resistance. All of our produce is grown following organic practices (but we are not yet certified organic) which ensures increased biodiversity and soil health. Our practices include using organic pesticides to manage pest and disease and incorporating locally-produced compost, vermicompost, and bonemeal into our soil.
