Hawaiian Coffee Chocolate Bar
This bar celebrates coffee grown in the rich volcanic soils of the Ka‘u district on Hawai‘i Island. They stone-grind coffee beans for several days into 50% dark milk chocolate to craft this delicious, rich, creamy, and eye-opening bar.
They propagated their own cacao seedlings, planted their first trees in 2009, and now farm 14 acres of cacao by hand on the North Shore. They harvest the fruit, use wild fermentations, and dry the beans, up on the farm. They then handcraft small batches of chocolate bars at their factory in Honolulu. Using traditional techniques, they have collected an array of vintage chocolate-making equipment over the years to produce their chocolate.
