Naked Cow Dairy began 13 years ago on the island of O'ahu with an idea to bring back the small family dairy of the past. The company believes in humane treatment of our animals, no antibiotics or hormones, and knowing where your dairy products come from. Unable to compete with mainland milk production, Naked Cow Dairy began producing artisanal cheese, gourmet butter & cream top yogurt to add value to their milk. They are proud to be the first and only producer of these products in Hawai'i & intend to provide them to the people of Hawai'i and her visitors for many years to come. Recently, they became a dual island dairy, the farm location is in Hawi, Hawai'i, but production continues on O'ahu. They hope to create another production facility in Hawi soon.
Naked Cow Dairy creates gourmet butter, artisanal cheeses, and cream top yogurts. They use Hawaiian-sourced products from start to finish, including local feed for the herd and looking to their local businesses for specialty ingredients. Their cows are milked on the big island & production is in O'ahu. Their products can be found in many grocery stores around the four islands, including Whole Foods, Safeway and Foodland. Their goal is to provide as many people with their products as possible while maintaining their small family farm mentality. They pride themselves on including other local farms in our production process and believe this is one of the many ways to ensure food independence and sustainability for all of Hawaii.
This product has a shelf life of 4-6 months and can also be kept frozen.
This product keeps its freshness and quality up to 3 weeks after the 'Sell By' date.
