David and Marinette began Sunny Kapoho Citrus back in 2007 when they transformed an abandoned orchard in Puna into a certified organic farm that was producing 30-40,000 pounds of food in just ten years. The farm today focuses on producing navel oranges but they also grow tangerine, lime, lemon, avocado, and banana.
