Waimānalo Red Cornmeal
Out of stock
You haven't had cornmeal until you've tasted this locally-grown, freshly-ground cornmeal. This blend is perfect for cornbread, polenta, or as a gluten-free substitute for flour in baked goods, crusts, or thickeners. The cornmeal is made from flint corn that was bred by Jay Bost of the Hawai‘i Seed Growers Network using traditional breeding methods.
Da Farm
Da Farm is a 1/4 acre property in Waimānalo, Oʻahu, run by Alyssa Lee and Jimi Cortez. They grow on raised beds that run mauka to makai, where they grow hoop house peppers and tomatoes and farm chicory, butter lettuce, tomatillo, and cilantro. They only use local compost and OMRI-approved bonemeal as fertilizer and biodynamic compost teas as nutrient supplements for fertigation. They diligently practice water conservation with high-efficiency water drip lines. Their products are grown with aloha da ʻohana.
