Kahuwai Farm is a small family-operated farm located in Pearl City on the island of Oʻahu. As a Native Hawaiian business owner spending four decades construction work, Benson dabbled into agriculture by having a plumeria farm, to raising goats, ducks, and geese, to restoring a 400+ year old Hawaiian fishpond, and growing a small assortment of vegetables & herbs mainly for personal consumption and family and friends. In 2020, Benson and Doreen started growing taro. With the help of a Molokaʻi cousin, the ground was prepared and ready to plant, nurture and grow several varieties of dry-land taro.
