Our friends at Golden Farms Oʻahu in Kahaluʻu are raising heritage chickens - Ameraucana (blue and green eggs) and Rhode Island Red chickens (large brown eggs). Heritage breeds are ones that date back before the mid-20th century; they are slow growing, naturally mated, and well adapted to being raised outdoors. At Golden Farms Oʻahu, their chickens are raised in a cage-free environment and have access to the outdoors.

Golden Farms Oʻahu
Golden Farms Oʻahu was started by former University of Hawaiʻi football players Channon Harris and Ashley Lelie, along with their friend Wisley Butler. Channon and Ashley met as teammates on the football field and are now teaming up on a different field. During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, they realized the importance of increasing locally grown, nutritious food options to promote health and sustainability. Today, they are bringing you farm fresh, cage-free, hand-gathered eggs from locally raised chickens in Kahaluʻu.
