Bluefield bananas, also known as cocos, are firm, yet creamy, with an incredible banana fragrance. The original grocery store banana!

Bluefield bananas look a lot like a regular grocery store Chiquita or Dole banana, but the difference is obvious as soon as you start to peel them. They have a wonderful, fruity fragrance that is similar to banana pudding or artificial banana scents. The texture is more firm than a Chiquita-type cavendish banana, but still creamy. The flavor is sweeter, more complex, and far more delicious than grocery store bananas.

About Lokoea Farms

Nestled in Haleʻiwa's Anahulu river valley on Oʻahu's North Shore, Lokoea Farms is a family-run operation that has been growing delicious food since 2000. They mainly produce naturally-grown Haleʻiwa Gold oranges and Meyer lemons, as well as a variety of other fruit & produce including limes, grapefruit, avocado, mango, papaya, and more.

Donald started planting the trees about 15 years ago, and his daughter Noe has now joined him as farm manager. They are now both at the farm full-time. As a small farm, they cater to each and every customer, and always encourage open communication and feedback.

They follow GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) to make sure their food is safe. They strive for the freshest, longest-lasting produce by harvesting on-demand and/or following proper post-harvest procedures for each crop.
