Diamond Island Farm is an ecologically responsible, single-man operation on the North Shore of Oʻahu that has been feeding the community delicious organic produce since 2017. The farm is run by owner and lead farmer, Carey Bonn, who produces a variety of leafy greens as well as other produce including tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, cabbage, broccoli, and more.
In his early days on Oʻahu, as he regularly drove from town to the North Shore to surf, Carey was inspired by all the farmland that could be seen from Wahiawa to Mokulēʻia and over to Kahuku. Seeing the farmland reawakened an interest in agriculture that went mostly unrealized after graduating from the University of Oregon where he studied Environmental Studies and Sociology. He was accepted into the GoFarm training program on the North Shore in 2017 which gave him a jumpstart into farming full-time.
