Similar to endive but with a broader leaf and a slightly sweeter taste

The outer leaves of escarole are slightly bitter and great for cooking. The inner leaves are slightly sweeter and perfect to use in salads. Escarole is popular in Italian cuisine and is often sautéd and served with white beans or used in Italian Wedding Soup.

Grown in Hawaiʻi
