Tastes like a cross between pineapple, mango, coconut, and vanilla. Cherimoya has a sweet, white flesh with a velvety texture. It is also called a custard apple.
Compounds in the skin and seeds of custard apple (cherimoya) can be toxic if consumed in high levels. Be sure to peel off the skin and remove the seeds before eating.
