Waimea Herb company grew out of two parents who are very involved in their children's and grandchildren's schools. They began teaching students about growing gardens along with preparing, improving, maintaining, harvesting, and enjoying what was grown in their gardens. They also taught them about Native Hawaiian plants and other plants that can be used for dyes, cordage, lei making, and medicine. As the kids learned, they began harvesting plants used for tea. The first tea was Māmaki and chamomile sweet tea. They served it at school events and for the teachers and staff. Soon, community members wanted to order tea for themselves, family, and friends! Every tea bag is filled by hand with love. Ingredients are carefully selected to make the finest teas possible.
